30 to 300 transfer hours from another school’s RYT 500 program (preferably in Therapeutic Yoga/Yoga Therapy) may be transferred at the discretion of Maggie Reagh, Program Director, according to the following criteria.
Transfer hours must apply directly to required IAYT competencies and must be deemed 70% or greater equivalent to those gained through the following courses.
Section 1: Yoga Foundations – 30 to 60 hrs
Term 1: Intermediate Yoga Philosophy for Yoga Therapists - 30 hours
Term 1: Intermediate Ayurveda for Yoga Therapists - 30 hours
Section 2: Biomedical & Psychological Foundations – 30 to 60 hrs
Term 1: Anatomy & Physiology for Musculoskeletal Conditions in Therapeutic Yoga Group Classes - 30 hours
Term 1: Anatomy & Physiology for Systemic Conditions in Therapeutic Yoga Group Classes - 30 hours
Section 3: Yoga Therapy Tools & Therapeutic Skills – 30 to 180 hrs
Term 1: Intermediate Yoga Therapy Practices Part 1 - 30 hours
Term 1: Intermediate Yoga Therapy Practices Part 2 - 30 hours
Term 1: Advanced Yoga Therapy Practices Part 1 - 30 hours
Term 1: Advanced Yoga Therapy Practices Part 2 - 30 hours
Term 1: Intermediate Yoga Therapeutic and Teaching Skills - 30 hours
Term 1: Preparing to Provide Therapeutic Yoga for Small Groups - 30 hours
Total: 30 to 300 Transfer Hours
Tuition Discount: For each 30-hour course transferred, you will save $150 CAN + 5% CAN tax.
Please Note: After a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), we will determine how many courses you can transfer. 70% or greater of Learning Outcomes from transferred courses must match those of our courses to be considered for transfer credit. In addition, to fill in any gaps in knowledge that you might have in the above courses, you will be required to audit all transferred courses. You will NOT be charged any additional fees for this.
