Our New Yoga Therapist Graduates

Yoga Therapist New Graduates

In 2021, this group of students from around the globe all completed their CYT 1000 with Yoga Therapy International (YTI) after 2 years of hard work.

Miraculously, we all made it home from India before the COVID shutdown in February 2020. This photo was taken with a picture of Sri T.K.V. Desikachar during a visit to the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) during our Term 2 in Chennai, India.

We went on to complete Term 3 remotely as we all scrambled to adapt to the new normal of a pandemic educational experience. Fortunately, it all went smoothly, and these courageous women held course during the thick and thin experiences of a challenging couple of years for humanity.

For our grande finale, these students offered eight extraordinary capstone presentations on case studies that they conducted over a 4-month period of Yoga Therapy research. Topics explored included Yoga Therapy (YT) for Indigenous Youth, YT for Post Concussion Syndrome, YT for Breast Cancer Recovery, the Therapeutic Alliance, and many other inspiring topics.

For all these reasons and many more, all of our faculty — Neil Pearson, Tracy Dignum, Tianne Allan, Nicole Marcia, Mary-Jo Fetterly, Shauna Elton, Sharon Abbondanza, my teachers in India, and more — congratulate these eight women who have become Certified Yoga Therapists with the International Association of Yoga Therapy (C-IAYTs) all over the world.

May they serve their communities with the grace, skill, and sincerity expressed during our precious time together. Congratulations!
